Metaguest
Digital Concierge Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Entity: Metaguest Inc. (“Metaguest,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)
Metaguest Inc. operates the Digital Concierge platform (“Digital Concierge”) in hotels globally. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share data when guests and businesses interact with our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We designed the Digital Concierge to protect hotel guests’ privacy.
- • We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or booking details.
- • We do not collect device-level information such as IP addresses, operating systems, or browser identifiers.
- • We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or similar tracking technologies.
The only information we collect is anonymous, aggregated engagement data, such as:
- • Number of impressions (how often hotel guests view content in the Concierge).
- • Number of clicks (guest interactions with business listings).
- • Scan counts and aggregated engagement metrics.
2. How We Use Information
We use aggregated engagement data to:
- • Provide hotels with insight into how often the Digital Concierge is used.
- • Provide participating businesses with performance data (impressions, clicks, scans) related to their listings.
- • Improve the functionality and effectiveness of the Digital Concierge platform.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share aggregated engagement data only within the hotel-business ecosystem:
- • Hotels receive data on overall usage and guest engagement within their property.
- • Businesses receive data on how often their listings were viewed and clicked.
- • We do not sell, license, or share data with third parties outside of this ecosystem.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard the limited engagement data we collect. Because we do not process PII, the Digital Concierge minimizes data protection risks by design.
5. Data Retention
- • Engagement data (impressions, clicks, scans) may be retained for reporting and analytical purposes.
- • Because no PII is collected, there are no individual guest records to delete, backup, or restore.
- • Hotels and businesses receive aggregated data reports but cannot trace activity back to any individual guest.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Because the Digital Concierge does not process PII, many obligations under laws such as GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and PIPEDA (Canada) do not apply. However, Metaguest adheres to these principles of privacy-by-design:
- • Transparency: We disclose what data is collected and how it is used.
- • Purpose Limitation: Data is only used to provide and improve the Digital Concierge.
- • Data Minimization: No guest-level information is collected.
7. International Users
Metaguest operates globally. Regardless of where you access the Digital Concierge, the data protections described in this Policy apply.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
